happy new year!

As 2008 comes to an end, I look forward to a new beginning in 2009!

My resolutions like most include better health habits, like eating healthier and loosing weight!!

One of my other resolutions is to be more creative and share that on this blog.

lets see how I do!

Maybe even venture into the Blog candy fad!

upcycled Juice bottle

I get these adorable apple juice bottles at my favorite bagel shop- einstein bros. so here is a before and after shot. I painted the cap with a paint pen, then added some SU rubons, then used some fabric scraps for the ribbon, tied a jingle bell to the end of the fabric ribbons and added some m&m's and I was done!! I made 2 for 2 of my bestest friends for Christmas.

They loved them!!!

since I eat at einsten's too much I will have more bottles for next year!!

Twas the night after christmas

Found this while blurfing...


Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls Should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, And now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look In this room where you work.
" He shook his head quickly, And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim As he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

Merry Christmas!! this is a pretty typical pose for Muffin and I. Me in the recliner on my laptop and Muffin watching from atop the chair. Our new laptop has a built in camera, so I've been having fun with that!!

yeah!! i have seen their artwork on teacher websites and now I will have a few of thier CD's to use myself!

Perfect bow

I found this while I was Blurfing. There is no original poster so I was able to put it on my blog. I totally need to try this because being a lefty, I have a hard time following other's directions on how to get the perfect bow tied!!

I think I will look for one of those big salad forks the next time I'm in the thrift shop to make a bigger bow than just a regular fork! I'll let you know how it works for this Southpaw!!
